The Kaiserstühler Winzergenossenschaft Ihringen has 384 hectares of vineyards and 727 members and is one of the province of Baden’s largest wineries.  Ihringen is located in Germany’s warmest region with the highest number of sunshine hours annually. It is no wonder that classic white and red Pinots (Weiss- + Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder) thrive here, as do other sun loving varieties such as Muller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Muskateller (Muscat), Gewürztraminer and Scheurebe. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon round off the selection in the cornucopia of lovely wines we offer.  The grapes that grow in the Mediterranean climate of our member’s vineyards are vinified into fine wines and sparkling wines with modern, yet gentle technology by our head winemaker Werner Hassler and his team. Our wines are aged to maturity in various ways in stainless steel tanks, in large oak barrels as well as in barrique barrels.
